"I am not new to the farm. It has been a place of refuge for me and my children. We took many long walks during 2020. As they have for many, Lisa and Doc have shown me incredible kindness in some really difficult times. I have been volunteering in whatever way I can since 2018, but I am beyond excited to be joining the team in this new role.

I have worn a lot of different hats over the years. I have been an early childhood educator, baking and pastry chef, painter, and most recently I spent 7 years as the general manager of Bricks & Minifigs in Southington. In the last few years, I have developed a passion for all things mental health. Although I am not ready to be a clinician yet, I am currently in my second year of the Clinical Counseling and Art Therapy graduate program at Albertus Magnus. I firmly believe that my purpose on this earth is to teach others how to harness their creative energy not only to make nice things but to gain self- awareness and peace. My hope is to empower people to use art to speak their truth and to reclaim a part of themselves that the world has buried.

I am grateful for this opportunity to use my energy in service of the farm and in my pursuit of knowledge in the field of mental health."

“Although I am fairly new to the farm community, it has affected my life in ways I could never have imagined.

When I met my husband a few years ago, he introduced me to Doc, Lisa, and the farm. I was immediately drawn to their energy, promise, and purpose. I also found out that I had ties to the farm through someone from my past that I care very much about.

In the past I have worked in Early Childhood Education, Homecare, and Medical Billing. I am so excited and honored to have been chosen to be a member of their talented team and I am excited for the opportunity to give back to the community that has given me a lifetime of gifts in such a short amount of time.”
